Türkiye is the world's second-largest olive oil producer after Spain in good harvest years, with the Aegean basin alone pressing over 200,000 tonnes annually. Turkish hazelnuts represent 70% of the global supply, making hazelnut oil a uniquely defensible export. Gulf demand for halal-certified cheese and yogurt continues to grow at double-digit rates as regional middle classes expand.
